HTML tags magically appearing

Recommended Posts

I keep getting html tags appearing in my posts and even within private messages. Not doing anything out of the ordinary that I can think of that would cause this, so I'm baffled. Anyone else having this problem?

Also, was something changed in terms of being able to post YouTube vids directly to posts? Used to be able to just copy/paste the YT url into a thread and have the video be posted there, but now it seems like the only way to get it to show up not as a link is to use the "insert media" button above.

i am not having that problem at all..the only thing that happened the other day was that I was unable to view a link that was posted and was a youtube video on the thread ..could it be a fault with your service provider ...I don't really know why you have that happening to you..

Here's an example.

I had already had the problem with this exact post before, had something to do with using the FULL Editor instead of quick edit and inserting smileys. Once I clicked the complete edit, it would post the post with html tags instead of smileys.

Exhibit A:

Time to blow the dust off them started Sharkmouth GB builds and get 'em finished up; I'm just about ready to start shootin' color on my 2nd and final build. Let's get 'em done! <img src="http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/public/style_emoticons/default/tumble.gif">

Should look like this:

and now the same post, after using FULL EDITOR:

Should look like this:

*edit*: and of course now it works fine. dontknow.gif

another example, but this time there was no edit involved, just showed up this way.

Exhibit B:
