aerofan
I recently saw this movie on DVD. Why would I watch it, you ask. Well when I was a kid, I recalled watching the anime series but it was called Starblazers in North America. I was told by my brother that they made a live action movie of it so I watched it and found it pretty good but not much spaceship battle scene for my taste. The story was good and, just like the new Battlestar Galatica, it was updated. Just wondering if anyonelse has seen it and what did you think of it.
dmk0210
I used to love that program as a kid. Is the new version in Japanese?
GVoakes
Watched the movie a few weeks ago. I had become familiar with this back in '81, when I first visited Tokyo and the individual I stayed with had all sorts of merchandising related to the movie. Thought it was really cool, and ended up finally finding the dubbed version of the movies many years later and watched them all. Fast forward to the Fall 0f '09 - there was all sorts of advertising related to the live action movie up in Tokyo/ Kyoto when we visited. The version of the movie I saw was in Japanese, but had subtitles. Really enjoyed it (especially the battle scenes). Prompted a visit to HLJ shortly after watching it... aerofan
I used to love that program as a kid. Is the new version in Japanese? The version I saw was in Japanese with English subtitles. The funny thing was that the ending credits song was English sung by Steve Tyler of Aerosmith fame.
