Azgaron
This figure is one of the figures I'm doing for Tradition of London. Here's a pic of the contents. After cleaning him up, I pinned the arms, glued the base and scabbard, and gave him a primer. And I've also started painting his face and hands. I'll go on painting his face, and then his uniform. Azgaron
Thanks Holmes! :) I hope so. I've painted some more on the face and hands. Then I painted the first layer of yellow. Now onto shades and highlights. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
HOLMES
Hakan, The face looks very impressive...I always notice that peoples faces always a slight shade darker than their hands as they are exposed to the elements and sun more so than the hands, and you have that combination SO right when I look at the hands. Perfect flesh color. What color will be his uniform coat be eventually and his unicorn{Hat}... These guys always were quite smart and brightly dressed.. Hakan you are doing a FANTASTIC job on this...Cannot wait for the end ... Keep up the good work HOLMES. Edited December 11, 2011 by HOLMES
Azgaron
Thanks Holmes! :) Glad you liked the skin tone! :) 1687 the uniforms was changed to the blue with yellow cuffs as standard for the Carolinian army, but until that, the colors was that of the regiment the soldier belonged to, and in this case he is from Skaraborg's regiment, that had yellow and black as their colors. I'm a bit unsure about the correct yellow tone, but highlights will make i a bit paler, I think. The hat will be black with yellow around the edge. Azgaron
I painted shadows and high lights with a combination of dry brushing and thin color. The flash made it look a bit brighter. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
Azgaron
I've painted some more details, and tried to correct the eyes somewhat. I think I made a slight mistake, and painted the belt white instead of buff. Have to check pics and correct if necessary. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
