haneto
Hi dudes! It's the canopy thing strikes back again and now this time in 1/72 version. Just as lots has been discussed about the wrong shape of Trumpeter J-11/Su-27 and Hasegawa Su-33, here's my view and conclustion: 1.The canopy is too high and too bubble on both Trumpeter Su-27 and Hasegawa Su-33 kit. 2.The IRST of Trumpeter kit is too small in diameter and has a wrong angeled profile view. 3.The molds striped from side so that make a very obvious gap across the canopy of Trumpeter kit, which need some heavay sanding work. Now here I have finished the very first master figuring, with a lowered canopy and a bigger and much more detailed IRST, so you can simply think it as a scaled down version set of my 1/48 ones. Even you make the Su-33, you can cut the inner struction of the IRST and use the clear cover on the offset IRST on SU-33. Here I would like to thank Mr. Illka Portti for sending me the original sized picture of the Su-27, the very best side view picture of Flanker I've even seen! More to come in the near future and pls keep an eye on it! Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated! Yufei

Inquisitor
Wow, that head on photo of the trumpeter canopy looks horrible. Ken pointed out such problem in his build, but this photo makes it the more obvious. How can leave such a big step! Are they going to be the same mold/vacuform canopy for both kits? Or separate mold/vacuforms for each one? Gonna need 3 for Su-33 and 2 for J-11. BTW, where is Haneto's personal bouncer? Edited December 26, 2011 by Inquisitor
ChernayaAkula
Yay! Count me in for at least five! Oh, and... that 1/72 Italeri/ICM Fulcrum canopy? Sorry for bugging you, but this would be too cool.

MiG31
hi will you be doing the ub canopy as well i will be in for some as well Seconded. Provided the single-seat canopy sells well, a UB equivalent would be great. Bonus points to both if the IRSTs are tooled for center-mount or off-set installations. haneto
Hi guys! Thanks a lot for the attention. The master now need to be resin cast copied and make some more adjustment. If everything goes well, due to the Chinese Luna New Year long holiday here, I hope it could be on sale in February. And you can order my goods by sending me an e-mail, very simple. My home page still has no luck with progress. I'm totally innocent about such IT works and is considering to pay somebody to make the site for me. So it's still offline, sorry. Now back to the product, Su-27 and Su-33 ones will be the same because IRST would be a seperate resin cast part. I will make twin seat version as well, sure! It also depends on how good/bad the Chibese brand will archive to decide when it would be available for sale. As for Fulcrum, well, we will see some new comers next year so let's wait for a little while more. :) Will keep you guys updated! Cheers, Yufei
