toadwbg
Sounds interesting, I'm finishing up the old Revell kit now and definitely won't be building that beast again! it was good in its day but I'm ready for a modern tooling. See my Revell build here: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=241748
Scooby
Odd there are no sprue shots up yet, they must have wanted to get it up as fast as possible though, I am sure it will sell well.

Finn
Last word was a March release of the kit, it's not even up on the Kinetic site so until we see the sprue pics, try not to get too excited just yet. Jari

Jari Well, seeing as Lucky Model and Kinetic are the same company/ same owner, I have no doubt this kit is actually in stock now.

Av8fan
Thanks Finn,I was just going to ask about that. Is there going to be an A-6B version???
VA-115EFR
Looking at the decals, it's nice to see the names of the pilots Eric "BONE" Hamm and John "CHOWDA" Dunne who were killed during a low-level run in Japan on October 14, 1994. Nice tribute to two outstanding guys!
Cliff C
Ordered one yesterday and just got a shipping notice today. Good indication that they are in fact "in stock"...
THX1138
Just spotted on Cybermodeler that Hobbyboss is doing a 1/48th TRAM A-6 also. Doesn't HB get their blueprints from Trumpeter ? So where the hell is that 1/32 ?
Stephen
Mine was advance ordered and I've juts received a shipping notification.

Scooby
Just waiting a review with sprue photos... Makes you wonder doesn't it? Is Kinetic hiding something, they alway put the Sprue shots up when they have the kit in stock. But it could be due to the holidays too.
HS-4Grandson
I just ordered some seats and decals for my Kinetic Intruder....cant wait to start working on the Intruder.

Stanton
dehowie
Got mine in the mail this morning. Looks nice. Fuselage has soft molding in air brake bay but other than that it's pretty sharp looking. Two instrument panels, bolt on TRAM turrets yes you get two varieties. Inner wing has armor in correct place and composite wing fold components. It has base for the original wing fold but I havn't looked for the extra bits to complete it like actuators etc. Very full box and nice decals. Clear parts similar to prowler split in middle. Nice looking and harpoons. Looks like a good package with options to do pretty much any A6E with or without tram mods. More research required from an A6 guru but I'm pretty happy with it so far... Finn
Sprue pics up, click on link at the top. edit: looks like they added a sprue tree from the Prowler kit as you get jammer pods. Jari Edited January 4, 2012 by Finn
dehowie
Correct Jari.. Oh forgot to mention two style of air brake perforated and non..
erik_g
Sprue pics up, click on link at the top. edit: looks like they added a sprue tree from the Prowler kit as you get jammer pods. Jari Hopefully it is not a Prowler sprue, but a sprue for making an EA-6A that had similar, but different jamming pods. But it sure looks like a Prowler sprue, and that would make sense economy-wise. /E

F-16
Looking at the sprue shots, I noticed a few things... 1. On the fuselage pieces. What is the large "slot" forward of the wheel wells? (It looks like it is visible when the wings are attached?) I wonder if this was done to fix the bad fit of the wing in this area on the Prowler kit? 2. Did they fix the missing wing fence? Also I guess the wings are the same mold from the prowler. Thick trailing edges. 3. Does one of the Harpoon versions have a clear seeker nose? 4. How does the nose look? I can't tell the shape from the sprue shot. Scott CNJC-IPMS

Short nose section allows you to build up a standard AGM-84D Harpoon missile. The A-6E was cleared to carry and employ both. Cheers Collin
