1/72 - RB-45C, 19th TRS/47 BW RAF Sculthorpe

Recommended Posts

I built one of those Mach 2 RB-45C kits during 2011 .

Here's a link to some WIP pic's I posted over at FSM ;

Some finished pic's here as well ;

The kit goes together okay , just watch out for the engine intakes and exhaust parts . their a little undersize when they fit against the engine pods and it would be easy to fit the intakes and exhaust onto the engine pods before attaching everything to the wing .

If those links I posted don't work out , I can post some of the WIP's here if you like .

John .

Very nice build John ! Please feel free to post any pics you have. I have made a start on mine and wings and engine pods are now together waiting for the wing flaps to be cut out. I think you are dead right about completing the wings and engine pods before gluing to the fuselage. I am really tempted to open up the cockpit entrance too.

I've heard a lot of horror stories about these Mach 2 kits, but this one doesn't look that bad at all. Good looking build so far! The B-57 in the background looks good too.
