Boeing 737-900 conversion

Recommended Posts

i have done a couple of conversions into the -900 a few years ago but here are some pictures of the current one i am doing

the fuselage sections cut up i cored a 29mm plug using a hole cutter out of a piece of wood this fits nicely into the 737 fuselage and helps to locate the fuselage sections when gluing back together

I prefer to use the wooden plugs and leave the gaps and fill them rather than glueing the bits back in that have been cut out when doing a 737-700 conversion

all glued up just needs some filler

also i will me modifying the engines as i did i a previous post so them look like this rather than flat on the bottom

You need quite a lot of filler I think? What is the reason you prefer to fill the gaps by filler instead of using leftover fuselage pieces? It seems to me you can apply those over the wooden plug and do the rest with filler.

What livery will this model get? :)

You have leftover fuselage piece only if you use 2 kits. If you use one kit (for financial reasons) and you make it longer, you are left with a gap and no fuselage pieces to fill it. I would however us some evergreen plastic to fill most of it before applying filler.

I know that, but he mentioned he once made a 737-700 so he should have some 737 fuselage left :)
