Revel 1/72 F-14D (What-if scenario)

Recommended Posts

Here is my most recent build, a what-if scenario, featuring an F-14D as it might have appeared if Tomcats had ever been acquired by the Hellenic Air Force.

There has been extensive transformation on the exhausts' inner areas using aluminum foil and Evergreen plastic as well as in the ejection seats. The seats provided by Revel were more suitable to the -A model, looking more like the Martin Baker GRU-7. The exact ghost painting scheme colors are produced by Lifecolor and Xtracolor however since I did not have these paints available during the construction I ended up mixing Model Master enamels while Windsor and Newton acrylic varnishes were used as well.

Thanks for watching!

Achingly good, Sir! A personal thing, but I reckon HAF colours and markings (especially 'modern' ones) are some of the most attractive ever seen on an airframe, and that whiffy Tomcat is definitely one of the sharpest examples...they take a lot of weathering and still look great.

Must get on with my hypothetical EF-2000 with the Blue 'n' Whites!
