El pibe vitina
Hi there, I will join this GB with an Argentine Beaver in Argentine Navy colours. The kit is the Hobbycraft, boxed in this case by Kitech. I will dress it with Max Decals set Nº 7208 to depict this bird: The Beaver IAA-101 was used in 1958 accompanied by a Beech AT-11 to do the first photographic survey in the Antarctica, and was the first Argentine airplane based in the white continent capable to land and take off in this corner of the world. First Argentine aircrafts to flew in the zone were Stearman 76 and Supermarine Walrus, during the 40s, and both were floatplanes. The IAA-101 was the first non floatplane to flew over Antarctica. Hope you will enjoy this build. Bye for now!
Loach Driver
Hi El Pibe, it's good to see you coming on board with this build. The Beaver seems to have been used by almost everyone down in the Antarctic so it'll be good to see this one built up. LD.
Aaronw
Yes, I'm hoping this one is still going. The Beaver is very much an icon of Arctic / Antarctic aviation.
