Azgaron
The kit I'm building is from this set. Inside the box the kits comes in plastic bags. I've started out by building the rotor head, and then started with the cockpit, just to find out that I turned the floor upside down. After successfully prying off the parts, I glued them on the correct side. Of course that side was full of ejection marks the needed to be taken care of first. There's supposed to be another type of sofa in the Navy version. Only problem was I couldn't find it, and not the nose either. I checked the box to see if the parts had fallen out, and under the other two kits I found this. A separate sprue in a separate bag, who thought of that? :) Anyway, after that little problem was sorted, I could continue with the cockpit. I've painted the pilots in a mix of instructions, pics and artistic license! :) Next I'll paint the cockpit and interior walls. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
Azgaron
After som more painting and dry brushing the cockpit is done. And mounted, and fuselage glued. I think the fit was pretty good, and I had no problems fitting the cockpit. I'll work towards getting it ready for paint. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
El pibe vitina
Nice! Im doing finishing touches in a couple of Airfix Sea Lynxs. One in Argentine colours and other for Royal Navy in Falklands / Malvinas scheme! That separate bag includes the new parts to do an upgrade Sea Lynx / Super Lynx. Bye for now... Azgaron
Thanks! :) I only wish I known that they had packed the extra parts in a separate bag, as I was looking all over my desk, trying to find parts that was still in the box. If it had been a single kit box I would have seen it at once, but now the other kits lay on top. New update coming soon I hope. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
Azgaron
For some reason one of the cockpit doors was missing. I made a new, but I forgot about Airfix spare parts service. I'll keep this one for now. The nose didn't fit as well as the fuselage halves, and needed som filler. Most of the seams looked ok after some sanding, but some will need some mor work. Soon time to put on the roof and glass, at least for dry fit. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
CorsairMan
I love the cockpit - I hope you can see a lot of it when the model is done. Those ejection pin marks are not very friendly are they? I have a few of them on my Corsair's gear doors. I think you tamed yours perfectly.
Azgaron
Thanks CorsairMan! :) I hope much of the cockpit will be visible through all the glass in the front. I would have been much happier if the pin marks had been on the underside instead, but I guess that's asking a bit too much of Airfix! ;) Cheers, HÃ¥kan
Deacon
Great start HÃ¥kan and the pit looks very good. Deacon

Azgaron
The front glass and roof is glued, and the seam filled. I also glued some of the small bits that sits here and there on the helicopter. Maybe a little too much work, filling the marks on the inside of the doors! ;) Some more work to do before I can start painting it. I've ordered a new cockpit door from Airfix. Azgaron
Those sliding doors was a bit fiddly to get there, but now it's done and now it's ready for paint. All the small parts like antennas and other small stuff will be fitted afterwards to avoid breaking them. Hopefully I can start painting it tomorrow. Azgaron
My intention was to do a fast build, but somehow other builds came inbetween. I got some red on the tail. I've also masked for the anti-glare area in front of the cockpit. But first I need to take care of a few spots which need more filler. Cheers, HÃ¥kan
