Sukhoi Su-27
Su-27SM O.o Finally! Really nice news :D
Berkut
When i first read the news a while back, it seemed clear that the Flanker was just a repack of same old kit with new decals... But now it turns out it is a new tool. So, this is me:
Learstang
A TB-7 as opposed to a Pe-8 (which the TB-7 was renamed as). Interesting. I suppose it's the pre-war version of the Pe-8. Regards, Jason
Johnopfor
Yeah, I'll wait to see it before I make a decision..... I see that they are finally getting ready to show thier Hind........A Edited January 28, 2012 by Johnopfor

jwest21
If their Flanker is as nice as their new T-90 kit, it is going to be a good one
Sebastijan
It must be true that 2012 is the end of world - the best things always come at the end :D Can't wait for that Flanker!
pollie
Good to hear they are releasing a new tool Flanker, but to be honest I'm happier about the Mi-24A. And where is my dolphin nose Mi-171 Mr. Zvezda??
mario krijan
It is hard to belive new SM and two seat an regular Flanker from Trumpeter, that is unbelievable!!
Flankerman
I saw on their Facebook page!! And Su-27SM is ne tool kit!!! :woot.gif: Ken, Your dreams are reality :-) and my dreams!! I think I'm going to faint with over excitment........ Let hope they get it right.... A TB-7 as opposed to a Pe-8 (which the TB-7 was renamed as). Interesting. I suppose it's the pre-war version of the Pe-8. It looks like the ASh-82-engined variant.... Zvezda did the AM-35 in-line engined version (top) some time ago and Amodel did the ASh-82 radial variant (bottom)..... Zvezda.... Amodel.... From the breakdown of parts it was obvious that Zvezda would also be doing the radial engined varinat - this looks like it is this one that is the new release??? As for the name..... it started life as the ANT-42. Then, following the arrest of Tupolev in 1937 on trumped-up charges, the use of the ANT prefix was prohibited and the bomber was renamed with the service designation of TB-7. Later, in February 1942, following the death of its chief designer Vladimir Petlyakov in a flying accident, it was again re-named in his honour as the Pe-8. janman
Wow! Although, I must say, I'm not that surprised. Especially after the excellent Mi-24s, I was quite certain they MUST release something for the jet fan boys as well. And what would it be: a Flanker of course! Such a neglected type scale modeling wise (it still is, isn't it!) and the back bone of the Russian AF. Great news!
Berkut
I just hope Zvezda will be smart enough to make vanilla Su-27 in future. That would need new windshield (if the irst is molded in), new cockpit, antennas on the intakes and removal of those on the wings. However, considering their BF-109, La-5 and Mi-24 i have nothing to worry about, since all those are made in such way other modifications are possible. :)
ChesshireCat
I noticed that they are comming out with a 1/72nd BF109F2, as well as the long awaited BF109F4 in 1/48th. Lets hope the 1/72nd scale 109 is as good as their 1/48th! I wonder if the early Tiger kit in 1/35th is the Dragon kit reboxed? gary
Sarathi S.
It's cool to see that they're releasing an Mi-24A.
kotey
No, as i know Tiger will be own-designed model. Bf-109 in 1\72 scale, as Fw-190 1\72 too will be snap kit, as already released Yak-3.

Flyboyf18
And hey they are doing an Li-2, woohoo!!!! But wait, in the internationally recognized 1:200 scale, huh?????? What are they thinking, uh got that wrong!? Well maybe A-Model will continue their 'Dak' offshoots with one this year, the Tabby looks pretty good.

Berkut
A few small news bits: It will be released in the middle (summer) or later this year. Personal guess, September. Apparently it is "very serious project". Got their new T-90 today, and considering Mi-24, we have something to look forward to. :) They are planning to do 5-7 different versions. :) Time to speculate which those will be! Vanilla Su-27 is obvious. I think UB is granted. Hopefully Su-35S. I think Su-30MK2/M2 is granted as well. They also said that "with time" they will do Su-34 for sure. janman
They also said that "with time" they will do Su-34 for sure. Yippikaiee!!! This is gonna be great! Apparently we can now forget the proper toilet inside the Su-34, but if they don't include that portable pissing device we saw not so long time ago, I'll stick with the old Italeri kit. :D Go for it, Zvezda! They're getting better and better all the time and that is a great news for us modelers who are getting bored with continuing and numerous re-releases of old stuff.
