Eric F
Let's have a look on the canopy today: First the masters Then, the final result thanks to the plexiglass. The method is to mold the 0.5mm plexi sheet after putting it out from oil heated at 130°c Some Evergreen is used to make the bottom part: We obtain a fatastic reult. The plexiglass is very easy to sand and polish with Tamiya Compound. On the other hand, be cautious against any finger print or scratch. As I told you on a previous post, the windscreen are thermoformed . The gold film is reproduced by applying a thin layer of Future with some Gunze clear orange. KRI76
I am totally speechless. This is one of the best, more complex, broadest scratch building I have ever witnessed. Eric: you've basically re-done every single piece of that kit, reaching results I cannot believe my eyes! :jaw-dropping: /Kristian

What firm, what kind of plexi? Where do you buy it? What kind of oil and how do you heat it at 130°c ? For how long do you keeo the plexi into the oil ? And yes, please, go ahead with the other Mirage !!!!!!!!!
