Vacuum forming a canopy question

Recommended Posts

The few times I've done so in the past, I've used regular old, and widely available, Evergreen clear plastic sheets to attempt vac'ing canopies, sometimes with success and sometimes not. My questions today are:

1)What is a more recommended material (I've heard PETG, Acrylic, even Lexan)?

2)What thickness of sheet to use (1/72 kits)?

I'll be doing this with my trusty old Mattel Vac-U-Former I picked up off EvilBay years ago, and have actually rarely used. Thanks.
