SmashedGlass
The few times I've done so in the past, I've used regular old, and widely available, Evergreen clear plastic sheets to attempt vac'ing canopies, sometimes with success and sometimes not. My questions today are: 1)What is a more recommended material (I've heard PETG, Acrylic, even Lexan)? 2)What thickness of sheet to use (1/72 kits)? I'll be doing this with my trusty old Mattel Vac-U-Former I picked up off EvilBay years ago, and have actually rarely used. Thanks.
Alonzo Fonzo
I used PET-G sheets to replace the canopy of my A-7: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=222549 I used 0.5mm thick sheets for this plane, but for 1/72 you probably need thinner ones (0,25 or 0,3mm)
