When peeling tape off get it off before the paint is dry and also pull the tape off at a 45 degree angle away from the wet paint and you should not have that problem again.

Great looking paint scheme though cant wait to see it finished.

Painting orange over white SUCKS!!!! Why couldn't the navy painted their planes any other combination of colors.

But I finally got a result that I'm happy with.

  • 3 weeks later...

So, last night I was coming home from my local clubs monthly meeting and THIS happened. :bandhead2:

I was fumbling around with my keys to open the door when I dropped it on my concrete porch splitting it right down the seam. I know it can be fixed but after this my heart just isn't in it anymore. I'm thinking of just boxing it up and moving on to something different.

Thanks guys.

Well, after mulling it over for a good part of the day yesterday, I decided to just go for it and keep on working on it. I haven't finished a build in over a year and I have a feeling that if i box it up now it will never get done. I already re-glued the seam and today I'm hoping to sand and repaint. So, we will see how that goes...

I'm refusing to give up on this one. Here it is with a fresh coat of paint. Lets see how it goes this time around

Im gonna let it dry over night and then hit it with orange paint tomorrow or the day after that. Lets hope I don't screw it up cause I'm out of white paint.

Failure is not an option.
