nerdling
I just finished this kit up a few days ago. I used aftermarket decals since the kit ones were dead. This is the first time I have ever used an airbrush. It isn't perfect but for a first time it looks fine to me. I did have some issues with the decals but those were caused by myself. I also ran out of tenax so was forced to use something called Plastruct plastic weld. I will say never use that stuff. It just doesn't hold nearly as well as tenax. That is why there is no combing in the cockpit, it fell inside and I can't get it out. Thought I'd post the cockpit photo since I didn't do a WIP thread for this. I used a prismacolor silver pencil for the highlights.

nerdling
Thanks, the decals were a bit of a pain getting them to lay flat around all those curves.

Jinxter13
Very very nice job.....ain't nothing wrong with the vintage and classic felines from the "Ironworks" .
CrowTRobot
Wow- fantastic job! Are those Eagle Strike decals? If so then I have the same set in my stash. I wince every time I look at them because the green trim is going to be tough to apply without leaving any seams or wrinkles. However, yours look like they were painted on! What kind of decal solvent did you use?
ming
Fantastic paint job! Love that mystical blue.

What kind of decal solvent did you use? Yep they are this set http://modelingmadness.com/scotts/decals/es/es48115.htm I attempted to use the NMF decals but they just didn't work so figured oh well and left them off. I used Microsol for the decal solvent. It did take several applications of it though. I did have to cannibalize two green strips that went on the tail to cover some gaps on the nose.
