Peter Straka
Kit: Revell Scale: 1/72 Improvements: Aires detail set (cockpit, avionics, gear bay), Airwaves wings (slats/flaps), Eduard PE parts Decals: Modell Alliance + Revell This particular aircraft belongs to 2nd sqn. which took part in military maneuvers "Strong Resolve" in Norway, 1995. Dark sea grey areas have been overpainted with pale white. Airwaves wings are designed for the Hasegawa kit but with a bit of CA glue and a fair amount of power it was possible to attach them to the Revell kit. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy it at least as much as I do :)

Karl Sander
I wouldn't be able to tell that was 1/72 if it weren't for the pictures of it in your hand!
Peter Straka
Amazing!! Do you know if those Airwaves wings are readily available? David they are available from many sources, i.e. tornado wings and their installation is really easy no matter whether you use hasegawa or revell kit.

Andrew Maverick Taylor
Fantastic job there. The detailing is superb but wasn't this scheme Dark Sea Grey and white, not green and white? http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ML72104 I can't find any actual photographs of the real jet in 1995 so you may know something I don't. Andrew, I had similar problem when I first saw the decal sheet. It looks like the sheets have been emited in two variants, the grey/white and the green/white option. Mine is the latter one. I have discussed this topic with other czech/slovak modellers here: http://modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47578#p909202 and we came to conclusion that both schemes were possible (just as similar winter schemes have been used on jaguars) I know you can not understand the text in the link, but it also contains three photos of various Torados in green/white scheme
Aggressor Supporter
That has to be the best overall Tornado build I have ever seen! So detailed and clean finish gets a big
Peter Straka
That has to be the best overall Tornado build I have ever seen! So detailed and clean finish gets a big Thanks Aggressor :) The sad truth is that there were not many Tornados at any kit show I have been to... But anyway, it is still one of the prettiest aircraft in the world
