I'm assuming you mean Huntsville, AL, right?

The hobby town is off US Highway 72, just east of Madison Square Mall. Heading east, it's the first light past the mall, just a couple doors down from HHGregg.

RC Hobbies is on the northeast side of town. Depending on where you're staying, the best way to get there is take I-565 eastbound to the Oakwood exit (21, IIRC), then hang a left on Oakwood (westbound). At the first major intersection (light), Meridian St., hang a right. RC Hobbies is ~3-4 miles on your left. Look for a Chevron station on your right once you pass under Highway 72 (kind of funky overpass with a traffic island separating the northbound lanes), and right across from said Chevron is RC.

HTH

Edit: there's also Southerland Station on Governor's Drive. It's more of a train shop, but paints, etc. and some kits are there. Take Memorial Parkway south from I-565 and it's the 2nd exit. Go left at Governor's Drive, and Southerland will be on your left about a mile down the road. It shares an entrance with Captain D's.

Mike,

Dang, I didn't know that someone is trying on another Hobbytown USA in the Rocket City? I am going to have to leave home early enough on Sunday going back to go by there. Thanks for the information!

Best Regards,

Ken Bailey

I know they have decent shops there (heck, all the K&S tubing bought by the Rocket City Rednecks proves that). :D

As for me, next time I go through Huntsville, I'll probably spend too much time drooling over the rockets at USSRC (unless I know the local hobby shops are stocked with a good selection of space kits that is). ;)

Actually, RC Hobbies has a pretty decent selection of space/sci fi stuff.
