White Wolf
After 5 months of preparation and going through several accidents (including a fractured neck which almost took her head clean off), she's finally ready to take the stage. EDIT: Build thread: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=239952 My first 1/48 model and my first use of resin parts. It's also my best work so far, but it still falls embarrassingly short of the standards here in the Display Case. Despite that, I've learned lots of new things from this build, more than I did with my previous models. Accessories/Aftermarket/Mods list: -Wind Mark F-15 ACES II seats -CFT pylons, air scoops, AAQ-13, gun loading door, AIM-9Xs, and other small items from Academy's F-15C MSIP kit. -AIM-120Cs from Hasegawa Weapon Set E -Aires exhausts -Scratchbuilt GPS dome and tailhook -Wolfpack AAQ-33 Sniper pod -Academy LAU-129s with Wolfpack ADU-552s -AFV Club Anti-Reflection coating sticker for HUD -Decals used: Hobbydecal stencils for F-15E and AIM-120, Afterburner USAF Armaments Part 1 -Promodeller Dark Wash Major errors which I made or couldn't change: -The HUD and landing gear is still that of a F-15C/D, not an E. -Wrong config on the main CFT pylons for an air-to-air load -Bulged MLG wheels and doors are missing -Crooked ejection seats due to careless sanding and gluing, and part of the right side rail for the WSO seat broke off and was promptly swallowed by the carpet monster. Out of all the mistakes, this was the stupidest and the one that affected the overall finish the most. But then again they're my first ever attempt at resin so I'll be careful next time. I hope to do a lot better on my next model. Thanks for looking. Edited March 18, 2012 by White Wolf

Inquisitor
Nicely done, and right after you finished this F-15E, guess what? Hasegawa is starting with the AC:AH/IM@S2 planes with the F-15E. And I thought my wallet would get a break after they finished with the AC6/IM@S planes late last year. http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/hp/catalog/imas_series/sp301/index.html

White Wolf
Thanks, guys. @Inquisitor: Yeah, I heard the announcement about the new series, and needless to say my wallet wasn't very happy either. :) I hope Hasegawa will do the second series in 1/48 too like the first series.
