RHanes
I was wondering if anyone makes a resin set of wheels in 1/48" scale for the F-104A/B Starfighter as they are different from the F-104C/D version. I am planning on using the Hasagawe F-104C and convert it into a F-104A in RoCAF markings used in the late 1970's. I would appreciate any help with this project. dsmith
Bob, Do you have a picture of the hub? I am only aware of two types of wheel. Cheers, -Doug :)

RHanes
Dear Doug: As I recall the differences between the F-104A/B and the F-104C/D wheel hubs are the spoke hubs for the early versions (nose & main gear)on the F-104A/B and the solid wheel hubs with holes around the diamter of the main gear hubs on the F-104C/D Starfighter which might be the same as on the F-104G/J Series. RHanes
Doug: I just checked some of my reference photos and I think that I have the information on the wheel hubs reversed, as on the book that I have on the History of the F-104 in RoCAF they show photos of both types of wheel hubs, but the late model is shown as web or spoke design. dsmith
Hey Bob, That is what I thought. The spoked wheels are the late version, and the solid hubs are for the early versions. Here is what you are looking for F-104 Wheels I hope that helps. Cheers, -Doug :)
