Any updates on B-1B Resin kits?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just wondering if there's been any new resin kits put out for the 1/48 B-1B lately?

I looked through forum history and there was talk about Two Mikes coming out with stuff but

nothing on there web site for B-1B's.

Also Shawn Hull's Resin web page says he's closed down for a while.

Read that he made a real good ALE-50 dispenser for the Mono kit.

Hope this ain't the end of B-1B aftermarket items.

After I just got started building the B-1B kit :)

Thanks for any info,

Regards.

Nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero. With resin, I typically believe it when I can see it and order it as fast as possible because you probably won't see it again in the future.

Well that figures. Looks like Eduard made add-on part kits for the Bone that are still around that's something I guess.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, Eduard has the usual photo etch stuff plus the cans that I have yet to tackle. I've seen them done and like them better than the older cutting edge ones.

The Eduard's Exhaust Set looks complex good luck with them. I'm gonna order a set a little later down the road. They really look like a nightmare.

Eduard's accessories kit for the B-1 looks good too. I just ordered a set today. Hopefully those kits will upgrade the model somewhat.

Thanks for the replies.

Our B-1 stuff is coming ......eventually. What we have in work is pretty complex and we have decided to go a different route with it ie....3D CAD and Rapid Prototyping.

Don't give up just yet. I haven't.

Cheers

Mike

PS....buy Royale resin's wheels. They are superb!

That's great to hear. Will you be making a sniper pod and ALE-50 dispensers for the 1/48 bone?

  • 1 year later...

If any B-1B masters builders are interested, I have a kit I started about 20 years ago and basically will never complete it. The front cockpit section is assembled and the landing gear struts are basically butchered. I tried making flaps & slats & stopped mid progress. Everything else is un-assembled. Just wanting to donate it to someone who needs the parts to work on 48 scale masters.

If anyone is interested, free to a good home, just pay for shipping from Tulsa Oklahoma (zip code 74133). Box is 21" x 12" x 10" and weighs about 4 pounds. If you have a Fedex or UPS number, can drop off using that number and charge it to your account.

Box is reference only, it is no longer around.
