CivicSiKL
Hi all, I'm typically an aircraft modeler, and would like to do a build for a friend who's grandfather was in the 10th Armored Division. Does anyone know if there is any way to make a 10th Armored Sherman? I think I'd like to take a stab at 1/35 as well. Thanks, Kyle
CivicSiKL
Thanks fortress, that helps. I am actually looking for markings, not sure if the Tamiya or Tasca boxings come with these or if I can find them with aftermarket decals.
Tank
By far I am no expert when it comes to the Shermans or Army units, lots of variations. I would recommend the Tamiya kit, something like this one. http://www.scalemates.com/products/product.php?id=103079 Without more information about what unit in the 10th he was in, unless of course it was HQ you would be looking to make markings as such ^ = triangle 6^3^A11 6^11^B21 6^21^C31 Would have to research more cause T/E changed during the war for the individual units you could have A,B,C,D, HQ and numbers could be 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's. Best would be to have a photo and build to that. HTH
CivicSiKL
Thank you both, this is what I was looking for. I'll look into getting the stencils, as it looks like no-one makes these as a set of decals for any 10th armored division tank. Would the markings you recommended Tank be located under "U.S.A." on the side armor? Thanks, Kyle

Front Rear I would recommend this set for numbers and symbols. Just cut out what you need. http://www.archertransfers.com/AR35065W.html Here are some videos to help with adding them. http://www.archertransfers.com/PAGE_Instructions.html Again if you can find a photo, I would build to that as these are just guidelines.
