dmk0210
It is a sad story. The nation is just throwing away all the knowledge and experience we've built over the years.
Alvis 3.1
That's really unfortunate. I can recall similar stories after Apollo ended, and the Boeing SST got the axe. All those highly trained, high tech people drifting away. It takes a long time to build that force back up again as well. Al P.

Wolfgun33
What a waste of talent and people. Like was said in the article, it didn't have to end this way.
Andy_USA
What I hate worst is ending the project BEFORE we had a replacement. Now we have to depend on the Russians for transport and their "official" record is as bad as ours. Edited April 2, 2012 by Andy_USA
JeffreyK
That's very sad to hear. So much talent, skill and dedication just goes to waste. But the real hammer blow is this line: "He's constantly asking for McDonalds. We don't get McDonalds anymore." When a cheap, obesity fuelling, taste bud numbing fast food outlet is regarded as a symbol of wealth and prosperity then all hope is lost.
