ChippyWho
Phenomenal work -a tour de force of what is possible in this scale, if you treat it as though it were any other scale. And possess enormous skill, of course!

b.l.stryker
Where did you get the vehicle?
Giovanni
Hi and thank You for following and commenting to this post. On 27/04/2017 at 3:07 PM, b.l.stryker said: Where did you get the vehicle? The cart you see is a scratch built one. Many parts you see around the plane are custom made and many came from Brengun and Eduard photoetched sets. Let's go to the progress: mig finally received its armament consisting of R-13M under the inner pylons and R-3R under the outer. R-13M are based on the excellent set from the company "Shelf oddity" while the R-3R are fruit of my own modification to the ones provided in the kit. If you feel something strange about the front fins is due to the fact I've placed them in a "relaxed position" as usually happens in reality as an effect of gravity. To enhance realism I've added a minimum of stanciling as the real ones sported and the red covers as well. Now very few but little and triky things are missing. In reality most of them are already ready and painted and need just to be glued to the model. For others I'm wondering if are really necessary and this is a sort of challenge to my skills (safety pins just to give an idea). I know myself. And I'll make at least an attempt! The QUIZ time: its' the second time I ask...do you see anything strange? Suggestion: national markings are ok according to you??? Bye an thank you for kind attention Giovanni Edited September 10, 2017 by Giovanni
Kingoalie
Great work Giovanni! Was the insignia on the port wing of the real aircraft upside down as well? Regardless, phenomenal work!
Silenoz
seems like the national insigna has been mirrorred...

I think the guys in the paintshop made a mistake inverting yellow with black while stanciling and painting the insigna. I felt strange reproducing the "mistake" and lucky as I had just to split the decal in tree parts and inverting red and yellow corners. Here's a few upside dawn: Soon more progress and updates. Silenoz
looks very good though. Just checked on wingspalette, and there you see also 2 versions, all the insigna in the same direction (yellow to the right and back), and mirrored (yellow to the middle), and all in between too ... life is easy.. ;-) Edited May 11, 2017 by Silenoz
b.l.stryker
Very nice. Do you have a pic of the original with this rockets? Don´t forget the antennas under both wings and nose and on top of fin. I had also built 2 of the MiGs. https://strykers144.jimdo.com/gallerie-gallery/mig-21mf-437/ https://strykers144.jimdo.com/gallerie-gallery/mig-21m-621/
