RKic
My latest completed build. This is the much maligned Trumpeter early P-40 in old-geezer scale (1/32). It is my first 1/32 kit and I had a ton of fun with it. It takes up a lot of room on my display, but it is well worth it considering how much fun the build process was. I made a few modifications along the way (wired the engine, opened the side panel, added depth to the cockpit, added break lines to the gear) and I added EagleCals decals for a No 112. Sqn. Tomahawk stationed in North Africa in September of 1941. Besides that, everything is from Trumpeter's box. The kit certainly has its foibles, and really h.a.r.d.c.o.r.e (Why is this word being censored?!?!) fans of the P-40 may be left wanting, but I for one enjoyed it. I just might have to do another one of these big planes. And a few closeups. Thanks for looking. Edited April 14, 2012 by RKic

Skyraider Maniac
Great looking P-40! Excellent job with the paint and weathering! My latest completed build. This is the much maligned Trumpeter early P-40 in old-geezer scale (1/32). You do mean "pure-awesomeness" scale, right? I don't think it's necessary to be old and grey to enjoy the big stuff - to me: 1/48 beats 1/72 - and 1/32 beats 1/48 hands down. bigger is better.... Provided you have enough ceiling to hang it :D
