1/48 Academy SU-27

Recommended Posts

That's one Flanker that anybody would be proud to have on their shelf...if they can find the space for it, that is! Excellent work! :)

Thank you White Wolf. I here you on the space issue, only enough room for a truck model I built for my brother. I think if I just keep shipping them out I should not have a problem of space. Ha ha ha!! :o)

Wisco: First of all congratulations. Your Flanker looks beautiful, very well put together

I have a question for you since i'm relatively new to modelling and have this same bird waiting in my stash: How did you mask the camouflage ? Did you cut the masking tape while it was already applied to the model ? Did you draw the patterns free hand ?

thanks a lot

Adriano

Hi Adriano, here are those pics for you to examine, I mainly used tamiya tape, and (rc trim tape) it is very flexable.

One more quick tip that works even better than the tape is silly putty, I call it the miracle mask, just stretch it out and lay it down, or roll in in sections lay it down and fill in the access with more silly putty. Try it you will like it. :o)
