Telford show?

anyone planning on Telford this year? It's on my bucket list and this is probably the year. I might take my wife and let her stay behind in London while I head for the show for a day or so. She'll be fine there as opposed to looking at plastic models.

In case your good lady objects to being left in London while you head for Telford, MrsC informs me that the Telford shopping centre is a fine example of the breed, and it's a short walk from the venue.

TheRoyal Air Force Museum, Cosford is only 6.6. miles from the city centre and that is an AWESOME museum too..Been there with another ARC member..

If Mrs Via Sistina prefers not to be left with the miserable variety of shops in London¹ but would rather saw off her own leg than traipse around another model show, may I suggest Shrewsbury? It's just a little further up the railway / M54 and is a much nicer place to explore than Telford, some of it being more than fifty years old! Also, climbing the Wrekin is good if the weather's kind. There's an excellent little cafe half-way up the main walking route.

¹ I jest! If you're leaving anyone alone to shop in London, chain up the credit cards.
