Korean war Mustang

Recommended Posts

Those are British rails, not the same as the US ones, I think.

The rails and rockets you want are offered in the Dragon 1/32 Mustang boxing. You might find someone that has this kit and are not using them... put an ad in the equipment exchange?

The Tamiya kit is set up to be boxed as a Korean era bird at some point, so unless you're impatient, I'd probably wait for that boxing. It will have rocket rails, etc.

The rocket stubs and HVAR's included in the Dragon kit are poor and barely look like the real thing.

As far as I know no one has done Mustang rockets well in 1/32, I would also wait for a future Tamiya boxing.

All Mustangs used the "American Rails" during WWII and Korea.

The 5 inch HVAR's did not require rails.

The rails were for the smaller 2.5 inches rocket.

ISTR Roberts Model / Combat Models offers 1/32 HVARs and maybe racks.

Thanks for the tip. I`ll check it out.
