RoNaf
I am planning to build a Korean war Mustang from the Tamiya 1/32 Mustang kit. Can i use these rocket rails on a Korean war Mustang? http://fishermodels.com/?mainURL=/store/category/h9lj/Upgrades.html Do anyone know where i can buy HVAR rockets in 1/32? Modelmkr
Those are British rails, not the same as the US ones, I think. The rails and rockets you want are offered in the Dragon 1/32 Mustang boxing. You might find someone that has this kit and are not using them... put an ad in the equipment exchange?
Jennings
The Tamiya kit is set up to be boxed as a Korean era bird at some point, so unless you're impatient, I'd probably wait for that boxing. It will have rocket rails, etc.
tourist
The rocket stubs and HVAR's included in the Dragon kit are poor and barely look like the real thing. As far as I know no one has done Mustang rockets well in 1/32, I would also wait for a future Tamiya boxing.

tourist
Did the SAAF mustangs also have american rails? All Mustangs used the "American Rails" during WWII and Korea. The 5 inch HVAR's did not require rails. The rails were for the smaller 2.5 inches rocket.
RoNaf
Can i use the HVAR rockets from the Hobbyboss F-84G kit om the Tamiya P-51 to make it a korean war Mustang?
Jennings
Rockets yes. Not sure about the stub mounts though. Probably not I'd guess.
