arc01
I read somewhere that the Germans did not separate the "U" from the "boat" with a dash, this was done later for clarity by English editors writing about the u-boats after the war. So, I did not write the dash.... This is my first attempt at such a small scale. Magnifier glasses a must! I was impressed with the quality of the kit, it went together smooth, and the photo etched parts really bring out the realism for that scale. While the photo etched is fine for the guard rail, the rope on the coning tower looks a bit over-sized, so I replaced it with a 2lb. fishing line. Note the connecting loop at the split. AFV does not provide decal flag, I had to use one from the Hobby Boss kit. Edited May 15, 2012 by arc01

arc01
Thank you guys! About the rigging,- thin fishing line with small globs of J&B Weld applied with a tooth pick. And a pair of really strong magnifying glasses.
