I've got a wide range in taste, from big band to hip hop, but I'm mostly a fan of classic rock and metal, so put me down for the obvious choices from Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Tom Petty, Rush, Foreigner, Steve Miller, Bob Seger, Judas Priest etc etc.

Most of my favourites have been mentioned here. AC/DC, Prince, Talking Heads, early RHCP...

But up there with all the rest for me is The Beastie Boys. Just about every album of theirs is on my Ipod, and I keep turning back to their music. I didn't start a RIP thread last week, but Adam Yauch will be dearly missed by many.
