aerofan
Hi Guys, Here's another film from the National Film Board of Canada called "Wasp Wings" dated 1945 that I thought some here might like to see. It's more about RCAF personnel than of the Spitfire but it does have some nice footage of plane.
VMFA314Knights
Aerofan, Nice one... I'll have to lookaround at a few more of the NFB offerings as long as I'm here. Thanks for passing that link along. Cheers, David VMFA314Knights

Cheers, David VMFA314Knights Glad you liked it. Check out another NFB film called "Train Busters" which is about 30 minutes and has alot of RCAF WW2 action scenes many of course involves low level attacks on trains and supply routes used by the axis. VMFA314Knights
The combination of high overtake speeds, well defended targets and the fact that you had to point that plane at the ground to hit your mark (usually at low levels to begin with) made for some hair-raising flights I'm sure. Strafing ground targets in a flight simulator is enough to make you sweat never mind doing it for real. Another Good One Aerofan, David
