Rick in Maine
Thanks to the online feed from the BBC we watched the entire Thames flotilla today. Spectacular. I'm sure there are some nuances that we miss and weren't so pretty. But the ceremony, the Royal family and the fleet of boats on the Thames was wonderful to watch. You guys sure know how to celebrate the Queen's reign! Rick in the colonies (Maine)

Litvyak
Did the Sex Pistols show up this time? No, but I hear the Public Image Ltd (John Lydon's - aka Johnny Rotten's - subsequent band) released a new album Sunday (PIL for the record has a VERY different sound than the Pistols). Only managed to see bits of the parade as I was out most of the day, but what I did see was beautiful. Loved the old LMS steam engine, too.

He's occasionally in the media still trying to be all 'I'm such an anarchist!!', but here he is advertising butter - .Vince

Kei Lau
That was a great clip, too! Any one has a list of the planes in fly by order? The Lancaster, Spritfire and the Hawk T.1 at the end were easy to recognize, but most are not.

It happens all the time, Flavor Flav (of Public Enemy) is another "fight the establishment" tough guy that is now doing lame commercials selling soda and cell phones. Hilarious.... Anyway, kudo's to the Brits for a fine celebration. God Save the Queen!

The Lancaster, Spritfire and the Hawk T.1 at the end were easy to recognize, but most are not. off the top of my head it started out with the Typhoons. Then was one of every version of helicopter in service(dont all the different marks) but it was merlin, seaking, lynx, puma, griffon, gazelle...might have been one or two other types I am missing. then were the Super tuscano's in the "60" formation, then the BBMF with the lanc and spitfires, then Hawks in the ER formation with the red arrows in the end.
