clmsnzgr8t
I am trying to indentify what plane my second cousin 1st Lt Warren G. Moxley was flying when he was shot down on March 15, 1945. He was just recently accounted for, and I have always heard about him at family reunions etc. I never could get his exact unit until now some information has come out. He was with the 107th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 67th Tactical Reconnaissance Group, 9th Air Force. I have always heard he was flying a P-51, but I think maybe was a F-6B version. I found one website that specifically mentions 35 machines were made and sent to the 107th, but that was around 1943. I am not sure if they were still using the same equipment in 1945. I would also be interested in any information available about the 107th that I can read about in time for his memorial service July 3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
