Nice! The last one of those TWA birds I flew on had skin quintupler plates riveted on the fuselage (that's doubler plates, with tripler plates, with quadrupler plates, with quintupler plates riveted on top of them). It probably got way worse gas mileage than a stock 727 just because of all the sheet metal sticking out of the sides of the fuselage. Made me a teensie bit nervous, but all came out okay as I recall.. :)

Where did you find the decals, specifically the side window decals with the shades pulled down? Reason I ask is they look dang close to real, down to the slightly darker shades that are partially pulled up.

That is an excellent build as the bird looks real!

As a kid I always drew a TWA 727, as it was always one of my favorite paint schemes. My uncle worked for TWA maintenance facility in Kansas City MO. and told me about the 727 involved in the Beirut hijacking.
