Fly-n-hi
Hi guys. Here's my latest build. It's the 1/200 Hasegawa Boeing 727-200 OOB with TWA decals and scratch antenna and rotating beacon. Hope you enjoy it.
Jennings
Nice! The last one of those TWA birds I flew on had skin quintupler plates riveted on the fuselage (that's doubler plates, with tripler plates, with quadrupler plates, with quintupler plates riveted on top of them). It probably got way worse gas mileage than a stock 727 just because of all the sheet metal sticking out of the sides of the fuselage. Made me a teensie bit nervous, but all came out okay as I recall.. :)
AlexanderJ
Superb Build! I love the little 1/200 Hasegawa airliners!
AeroCommander690
Very pretty I like it alot. MR Jennings,Is it as bad as a DC-9 pressure bulkhead?
Jay Chladek
Where did you find the decals, specifically the side window decals with the shades pulled down? Reason I ask is they look dang close to real, down to the slightly darker shades that are partially pulled up. That is an excellent build as the bird looks real! VA-115EFR
As a kid I always drew a TWA 727, as it was always one of my favorite paint schemes. My uncle worked for TWA maintenance facility in Kansas City MO. and told me about the 727 involved in the Beirut hijacking. Excellent, excellent model!!! Beautifully done sir! Fly-n-hi
Thanks alot for the nice words guys. This is somewhat special to me since my father flew 727s for TWA. Jay, the decals are a set from a company called Nazca. They have detail sets for several kinds of planes in different scales.
