Converting Revell's A340-300 into an A330-200

Recommended Posts

I'm currently working on converting Revell's Airbus A340-300 into an A330-200...

It will be completed in Etihad colours, with decals courtesy of Draw Decal.

Fisrt job was to shorten the fuselage and remove the fin:

The Bra.Z's fin was added, and the joins made good:

Next, the wings were added and various aerials etc. made from Milliput:

And now she's had her paint job:

I'm currently working on Bra.Z's RR Trent engines which will then get a coat of paint before decalling can commence.

Just wondering what the inference is in he tails?

Is the original 330 tail or the newer shorter one fitted from around 2006?

Interested in doing this conversion myself so looking forward to your progress..

This is the earlier tail fin with the smaller fairing where the fin meets the fuselage.

Braz also does the later style of fin.

The A330-200 has now been decalled and laquered. The Draw Decals sheet was, as usual, excellent and the decals went on beautifully and fitted the model to perfection.

I'm currently working on the Braz RR Trents; hopefully she'll be appearing in the Display Case sooner rather than later.

That is a nice 200 Tommy, I've got the Braz conversion for the A340-600 but just looking for a set of decals before I start it. I see this aircraft has the formula one logo on it! Another love of mine
