Fighting planes of the Korean War

Recommended Posts

The first battle of the Cold War that began 52 years ago also saw the first jet fighter to fighter combat in aviation history.

Let us all post some pictures of aircraft from both the Allied (U.S., British, Canadian, etc.) and the Soviet Union (with its allies) here to commemorate this moment.

If you have pictures of your models based on the event (armor, ships, planes, dioramas, or figures) then that's OK too.

To the men and women who served before us then ... :salute:

My one and only Korean War model so far. It's the Italeri F4U-5N BuNo 124453, which was Guy "Lucky Pierre" Bordelon's aircraft. The aircraft flew from the airfield K-6 from USS Princeton.
