Mumbles Posted June 30, 2012 Share Posted June 30, 2012 My latest project, the Academy F-8E, mostly OOB Except for the wing. I wanted to position the wing up, but when the one on the real thing goes up the flaps and droops come down, and out of the box the Academy wing doesn't allow for this. I was also toying with the idea of folding the wings. You can get resin replacement wings for this kit that have the flaps and droops down (Obscureco), or the wing folded (Wolfpack), but not both. So I decided to do it myself :) Carefully cut the wing up, filled and added half-round strip where necessary with some scratchbuilt wingfold detail and here it is: Quote Link to post Share on other sites
