bashace
Ok, I have to do it, just love anything to do with war in the Middle East! Manufacturer: Trumpeter Kit: Mi-8 Scale: 1/35 Markings: Iraqi Air Force (Linden Hill decals and maybe some homemade) After market: LEM Armament Set inspiration: (Taken from the "Small War Journal"). Operation Fee Fajr 4: The focus of the fourth Fee Fajr operation in September of 1983 was the northern sector in Iranian Kurdistan. Three Iranian regular divisions, IRGC and Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) elements amassed in Marevan and Sardahst in a move to threaten Suleimaniyah. Irans strategy was to press Kurdish tribes to occupy the Banjuin Valley, which was within 45 kilometers of the major Iraqi northern city of Suleimaniyah and 140 kilometers from the oilfields of Kirkuk. To stem the tide, Iraq deployed Mi-8 attack helicopters equipped with chemical weapons, and executed 120 sorties against the Iranian force, which stopped them 15 kilometers into Iraqi territory. Ryan Hothersall
Next one that is eligible for this group build will be an Iraqi MiG-23MS RV Aircraft 1:72 MiG-23MS Flogger E. Kit comes with Iraqi markings. However RV MiG-23 kits have no armament, so that will come from a dragon set. Edited August 16, 2012 by Ryan Hothersall

Sebastijan
Hi Amen to answer your first question - while they were not used in combat ops, MiG-25Us probably payed cruical role in training new Foxbat pilots during that time. Fujimi has F-14 with IRIAF markings, as well as MiG-21 with Iraqi ones. HobbyBoss Mi-24V also has Iraqi markings and probably there are more out there. These 3 are just the first ones that come to my mind.
Amen
Thank you for the info Sebastijan.I just find out that ICM kit has Iraqi Markings! ICM kit
