11bee
I believe the Iranians also operated M-60A1's. At least I sure remember seeing them rolling through Tehran as a kid. Also on your other list of US forces, don't forget to add the armed OH-58D's that replaced the Nightstalker Littlebirds. Also, the 160th flew gray painted MH-60A Blackhawks and the USMC flew AH-1J's in the gulf (one being lost to Iranian AAA or a SAM). Diego
Some small corrections: Iraq: - MiG-21 - PF,PFM,U,UM were also operational with the IrAF during the 1GW. - An-2 Colt were used for transport/liason etc. - L-29 Delfin trainers - some MiG-15UTI also used in the training role - Mi-4 weren't (afaik) operational during the 1GW anymore, - Mi-2 "Hoplite" were used for liaison work, - SH-3/AS-61 "Seaking" (with desert camo) were used for transport, - MBB/BK-117 for SAR operations, - MBB-105 for observation duties, - a captured ex-IRIAA CH-47C Chinook was intensively used for transport duties by the IrAAC as long as it was serviceable. Iran: - Iran never operated the RF-5E, only F-5E & F-5F, - but some surviving F-5A & F-5B have been used for training. Edited August 2, 2012 by Diego
jochemp
Among other possible entries could a RSAF F-15 that shot down the IRIAF phantom in june 1984 get in this GB? I got the Saudi markings and the old monogram kit. Just have to dig a little deeper on the A/c number.
