Brian Kerr
Hi everyone, I want to paint my navy F-5E in desert snake camo. The aircraft in question is Red 31 of VA-45. My question is what are the FS numbers for the green, brown and tan. Also does anyone have a over head photo of the wings showing the paint scheme. Thank you. mirage@enthusiast
Hi! Try this page: http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_fs.htm or this site (it was renewed some days ago) http://www.paint4models.com/ Cheers Polo
Jay Chladek
Thank you for the help. As I paint with humbrol paint would you have idea as to what to use for the green and brown as the cyber model site showed no match for these two colours Are you able to get Tamiya shades where you live? Given the Cybermodeler listing has those colors as well, they might get you by for this build. Only other paint color listings I have that are of a different brand are for the OLD Airfix paints (before Humbrol) listing the snake and lizard schemes (I always thought "snake" was just the tan and brown scheme while "lizard" was the one that incorporated the green shade into the same basic pattern). Andre
wasn't there a Detail & Scale book on these aircraft? Camus272
From C&M 11: Snake = 34258 Green / 30118 Brown / 33531 Yellow Lizard (Old) = 33531 Yellow/ 30118 Brown Lizard (New) = 30117/33613 mix / 33613/30117 mix The Key West Superbase book states that 31 was delivered in the Snake scheme, and it looks like those are indeed the colors.
