dmk0210
Nice schemes. I'm definitely in for this sheet. I've had the Monogram kit with trashed decals in my stash for a while.
PNW_Modeler
Heck, I've got three Revell 1:32nd scale AV-8A kits that I've been searching for decals for....I'd pay top dollar for multiple sheets in 32nd scale. f4u4 nut
El yay! El yay! Finally, decals for the AV-8A/C Harriers!
thegoodsgt
Excellent. I've been wanting to do that orange-marked Harrier for years! In 72nd. Steven Brown Scale Model Soup Edited October 16, 2012 by thegoodsgt
KursadA
How about lending me a 1/72 AV-8A kit then? Seriously, I need a kit to size these correctly. I also need a 1/72 T-45 Goshawk kit; so it would be ideal if a helpful 1/72 modeler can lend me both kits for about a week or so. I will pay return postage, and you will get free decals when they are done. Edited October 16, 2012 by KursadA

2qwik4u
I've got the Hasegawa/Minicraft AV-8A and the Italeri T-45. Just let me know where to send them. -Dave
KursadA
Thanks, guys - I will contact a couple of you and arrange a loan. I will do both of these (T-45 and AV-8) as Czech-printed 1/72 sheets.
KursadA
I'm getting really close to finishing the 1/48 sheet, and will try and post a final draft soon. It should be available in February.
2qwik4u
FYI regarding the 72nd sheet. Airfix announced a new tool GR.1 kit for this year. You might want to hold off on sizing until those become available.
Daryl J.
Two words that caught my eye: decals, resin.
thegoodsgt
If Dave doesn't come through with the kits (though I trust he will), I have an ESCI Harrier and Italeri T-45 I can loan ye.
Big Kohona
Has anymore happened with these decals? Will the NASA Harrier be offered still or is it off the table?
KursadA
Has anymore happened with these decals? Will the NASA Harrier be offered still or is it off the table? The 1/48 sheet has been on the market for a few months now, without the NASA option (which did not fit on the sheet). A 1/72 sheet will come sometime down the road, no ETA yet. http://www.caracalmodels.com/cd48027.html Edited June 16, 2013 by KursadA
Big Kohona
Thanks KursadA, I'll keep an eye out watching for it.
KursadA
The new Airfix 1/72 Harrier GR.1 kit is now out, and I will be scaling down the AV-8A/C sheet to 1/72 as soon as possible.

habu2
On 8/16/2012 at 8:02 AM, Dave Fleming said: The NASA TAV-8A didn't really exist, the Museum bird is painted that way, but it never flew in those colours. Dragging up an old thread, but NASA had at least two early AV-8 airframes, and both flew in the blue/white scheme. NASA 704 was YAV-8B 158394 and photos can be seen near the bottom of this article: https://history.nasa.gov/SP-3300/ch8.htm NASA 719 was AV-8C 158387. Here is a video of 719 flying at a Moffett airshow in 1988:
