streetstream
Shortly after 15h00 a Belgian F-16 taking off of Kleine Brogel air force base crashed after the pilot ejected. The plane crashed in a remote area, about 600 meters from the end of the runway, and nobody, including the pilot, got hurt. I hope to learn more about the crash later today, as a friend of mine workes on the base as a crewchief. Edited August 16, 2012 by streetstream

huntermountain
I remember a time when they dropped from the sky like it was what they were meant to do. This one makes for 34 crashed BAF F-16's on a total of 160 purchased. Good thing the pilot is OK and no one was hurt on the ground. Things like birdstrikes will probably continue to happen.
