And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the Laurent version of a ringing endorsement! laugh.gifwink.gif

My checking account is asking for an Israeli aviation expert to persuade him not to pay for the kit. And he's asking AMK not to do a Kfir CE.

Oh I've asked on FB if they could consider downscaling the kit to 1/72. They could do it if the 1/48 is successful enough.

I'm digging it but that centerline tank looks off to me. It won't stop me from getting one, but having looked over this jet for years, that supersonic centerline just seems wrong.

Yes, I would agree. It doesn't look close - too bulky to be a correct 880 litre supersonic centerline tank. I was comparing the pictures of the kit plastic to my IsraCast Kfir Fuel Tanks and Pylons set and reference photos. The real tank is considerably more pointed, too. Just my opinion based on what I see.

Cheers,

Tom

Could it be due to the angle the model is depicted at?

It's not an issue of the angle the model is depicted at. I have many friends that fly for ATAC & I have photographed the kfirs extensively. There are two different types of centerline tanks for the aircraft. One, a streamlined supersonic tank and the second, is fatter & little shorter. The tanks also differ in having unique tail configurations.

Here's a couple of images to illustrate the difference.

This is the fatter tank w/ heavier tail fin configuration.

These images illustrates the more streamlined& IMHO, more elegant tank.

ATAC F-21 Kfir

The kit tank, which is shown very well from the bottom view, looks to be a hybrid of traits from both of these different real tanks.

Disappointing.
