Fellow Hobbyist Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) At a recent club meeting a member was seeking to give away a free C-130 kit. The caveat! The fuselage components are missing. Knowing this I decided to take the parts. The make of kit is unknown. The surviving pages from the instruction manual do not state the manufacture of the kit nor it's scale. Comparing the measurements of the wing aileron pieces to line drawing estimates suggests its likely a 1:48 scale. There are two possibilities: Ideally I'd like to build a C-130 using these parts. All the remains to done is source a new fuselage. Secondly; should that fail, these parts are still usable for those looking for spare C-130 parts. I'd be glad to part out the sprues I have for trade. Any parties that might offer a Hercules fuselage or presently seeking replacement parts for C-130 projects, feel free to PM me and we can work out an exchange.
