ChippyWho
Not too long ago, there was a link on one of the major air modelling sites (maybe this one?) to a YouTube clip of an F6F-5 with incredibly well-fitting folding (yes, folding, not folded) wings. Well, I think it must have been the work of Jumpei Temma; his Hellcat is featured on Hyperscale today. But here is the full build history. Now I'm glad I was forced to do extra math work at school -even if I forgot most of it! Anyhow, a shoo-in for my BOTY! Edited September 20, 2012 by ChippyWho
dnl42
Wow! Thanks for finding the build URL--that is A-MA-ZING! I second your nomination!
Jennings
An *amazing* model to be sure!! Not at all convinced that Minsi had any kill markings on the left side however. The more you look at photos, the rarer Navy birds (particularly later in the war) with any kill or other markings on the left side become. Lots of "assumptions" have been made in the modeling/reference community over the years without data to back them up. And they've become "fact" by default. And then came fündekals! :) Edited September 21, 2012 by Jennings
