Barneydhc82
The 2009 CF-188 Colour Bird was painted to show off Canada's 100th Anniversary of Flight. The kit is the deluxe Hasegawa rendering with Leading Edge Decals. The paints:Blue Model Master, Gold: Alclad II(this product matches my supply of Sheffield Luxor Pale Gold) More later after I get more decals in place along with a good many small pieces. Barney The Logo above the banner is messed up as it turned into a gummy mess..but only in that area..strange.

Barneydhc82
Thanks for the comments guys. What went wrong with your build Phantom???? Barney
phantom
Just does not look sharp. Think it was my paint job. Also think I used too dark of blue and the gold. Edited October 23, 2012 by phantom
Barneydhc82
Other than the lack of lighting in your photo(s), it looks pretty good to me. The Gold looks too dark but it could be the lighting. Did you use the built-up kit ejection seat or aftermarket resin..and if resin, which model and where from? I know too many questions
phantom
Yeah, don't know why this one is so dark. THink I used the kit seat as the pilot is in it. Never waste after market if the fly guy is home.
Barneydhc82
Phantom: I have noticed that many of you posted photos are very dark and that may be because of that dark blue background. I had the same problem and the pics improved when I switched to a light blue background. All I use for lighting is a daylight flourescent ring light on my magnifying work light. This makes quite a difference with a dark coloured model..hope this helps..and I'll try putting the kit seat together Barney
Barneydhc82
More pics of the Century of Flight Hornet. Still have many bits and pieces to be added and unfortunately the HUD disappeared into the hungary carpet monster. Barneydhc82
More decalling amd bits attached but it is a slow process. I still have a few tiny pieces plus an ejection seat to add but it will get done. Barney
