A-4 KU (AF-1) Marinha do Brasil FINISHED!!

Recommended Posts

Thank you for the appreciaments!

Awesome! I have the same proyect on the near future, did you use the A-4M kit?

regards

I used the A-4 KU Hasegawa Kit. If you start from the A-4 M kit you have to "kitbash" also an A-4 E/F to get the correct nose section.

Are there many differences between the A-4K and A-4M nose section?

There are quite differences beetwen the variants. This is the nose section of an A-4 M:

And this is an A-4 KU:

The KU nose section is longer than the M variants.... ultimately the KU has the same nose of the A-4 E/F but the only Hasegawa A-4 M kit that contains this feature is this one:

How did you do the panellines?

Oil washing with two shades of grey! ;)

That's excellent!, I converting an A-4E to an A-4Q and guess what do I have to cut off?

Interesting enough I think the A-4AR has the same E style nose with an aditional vent

Not entirely correct, there is this boxing as well: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10042399

According to http://www.modelingmadness.com/splfeat/kr/has48e.htm one could also build it from one of the various A-4N boxings.

Excellent Skyhawk! :worship:

Can we also build it from a standard A-4M but just sand off the bumps & antennas on the nose? Thanks in advance

Thank you for the clarification! I'm not considering also the A-4N kits....

Not sure at all.... anyway, you have to reshape the terminal section of the nose and rescribe many panels.

Thank you again for the appreciations! :coolio:
