HAMMER32
OUTSTANDING JOB!!!! And a great squadron to boot! I personally got to work with Aldo Kuntz while in VA-115 (1993-1995) Interesting, but sad story. Aldo was flying behind 505 on October 14, 1994, when 505's wingtip hit the water during a low level mission in a valley somewhere in Japan and cartwheeled destroying the plane. Killed on board were LT. Eric "BONE" Hamm, and LT John "CHOWDA" Dunne, which, if I'm correct, are one of the options in the decals. That was a pretty tough time for the squadron. Aldo was a great XO and even better CO. Great bunch of guys all around. Your work is top notch, great weathering! I hope to be able to get that good someday! Well done! :thumbsup:/>/> As you mentioned LT.Eric "BONE" Hamm was killed in 1994,but the decal indicated that he was sill alive in 1996.Maybe Fightertown made a mistake
A-10 LOADER
GREAT BUILD !!!! Looks amazing. FTD, and the squadron, could have left the names there as a tribute for their sacrifices. Steve
VA-115EFR
I don't exactly remember 505 BuNo, but that's the one involved in the low level crash. Aircraft 500 155704 was the one accidentally shot down by Japanese live fire. Fortunately the pilot and B/N were able to eject from that one. I still cant get over your work! Simply stunning! VA-115EFR
The plane captain listed on the port engine door, is it listed as AMSAN Bristol "Fry Guy"? He was my roommate in Atsugi. Helluva guy! :D

Brian P: Fightertown Decals
As you mentioned LT.Eric "BONE" Hamm was killed in 1994,but the decal indicated that he was sill alive in 1996.Maybe Fightertown made a mistake :woot.gif:/> The squadron put CHOWDA and BONE's names on 500 as a tribute to their sacrifice. They remained on 500 through retirement. -brian
