  1. 1. Will Disney E7-9 be better than Lucas E1-3?

    • Yes! Can't be worse than the Prequal Trilogy. Disney knows what they are doing.

    • Maybe- But nothing will ever beat E4-6 (Ewoks Aside)

    • No- Disney will Mousketeer them and make Jar-Jar look like a saint

Holy Cr@p! :jaw-dropping:

Never thought I'd live to see the day. Just hope Mickey and Company can do a better job than Lucas did on Episodes 1-3.

EDIT: POLL ADDED

Two words.......

Pearl Harbor

Enough said......

Why did you have to bring that abysmal abomination up......

Who knew that the Japanese bombed Ticonderoga class cruisers and Spruance class destroyers on December 7th?

I love how they made P-40's turn and burn like Star Wars Jedi fighters. Who in the hell got Alec Baldwin to play Jimmy Doolittle towards end of film, anyway?? Yeh, that movie sucked!!! The least they could have done (if they are going to have a girl playing whore between a couple of best friends) is got a few t*tty shots in there.......maybe it would have made it slightly worth a damn to watch. With all the other CGI stuff in the movie, they couldn't do some CGI WW2-era ships in the harbor??? I could take that film apart all day!!!!!

I think we can thank Red Tails for the sale. My theory is financially, Lucas got in a little over his head having to bankroll the film and distribution out of his own pocket. Considering the film bombed at the box office and in DVD sales, plus the relatively lackluster sales of the SW BluRays and mediocre performance of SW 3D in theaters (but what does one expect from Episode One?), I am not at all surprised. And so Disney has to do what it can to make the franchise profitable again since new action figures based on characters that are over 30 years old aren't going to cut it.

More negativity here than I expected....

Ok, I will fix that.....

Would't it be nice to see a few 1/72 up thru 1/32 Star Wars (Tamiya quality)model kits out? I know Fine Molds make some, but they are itsy-bitsy. I know about the Millenium Falcon kit, but still way too small! They could sell the kit in sections so a person could afford to build as they get the funds in budget monthly or something. How about a model of some of the Imperial or Clone walkers or bigger vehicles in a really nice kit form?

Note: The Slave-1 kits are awesome, but bigger would be nicer. How about in 1/32?

I thought (hoped) Disney learnt their lesson with the sci fi flop "John Carter"

star wars really is becoming the battered call-girl of the film industry.

I'd like to be more positive, Its just every new thing made seems to be more focused on the commercial interest of 'maximising revenue out of the brand' rather than telling a good story.

but maby im just cynical

Now George Lucas gets to host the Billionaires Club meetings at Skywalker Ranch. And Gates and I have to pretend Jar Jar was a good idea.

Avengers was a Disney film.

The rumors are true. I will be appearing in the next Star Wars movie.

I think it's great ...

Disney is doing Marvel well since that acquisition ...

Ask any child which series they like more and most will tell you Ep. 1-3 ... They grew up with them like we did with the OT ...

Yes, most on here are a touch cynical ...

And hey, if new movies do come out, no one is holding a gun to your head to go see them ...
