Jennings
At last I can share it (spaseebo Victorlas)!! The kit has been announced by BPK (Big Planes Kits) from Ukraine. Before you ask, no I don't know when it will be released, and no, I don't know what the price will be. I can tell you it was designed using CAD technology based on my original 737-200 drawings (themselves based on thousands of pages of 737 tech manuals and gazillions of photos). The kit should be available soon, so stay tuned for more info as I get it... And there's more good stuff to come from these guys! http://www.flickr.com/photos/89566463@N02/ Edited November 5, 2012 by Jennings

James
Will the cockpit glass be clear in the finished product? Some etch compressor blades would be great, just sayin.... Edited November 3, 2012 by James
angry_android
The only real flaw I can see is a lack of IGVs, and I suspect it may be a separate part that I don't yet know about.

angry_android
IGVs what is it? IGV stands for Inlet Guide Vane, the IGVs are the fixed 'spokes' in front of the first fan stage. It's really a minor detail; the model looks top-notch otherwise. Edited November 3, 2012 by angry_android
Jennings
Will the cockpit glass be clear in the finished product? Yes, of course, as will the cabin windows.
Ben Brown
My bank account will be safe until somebody releases some Piedmont decals for it.... Ben
Jennings
I believe it will come with Piedmont decals, but I can't give you any info on how good they will be. But there *will* be some new decals for it from yours truly... :)
rustywelder
Looks very nice. I hope this sells well so that maybe they could be convinced to do some 737 NGs.
Jennings
One of the very few (if not the only) 737-200's that's not a convertible with a cargo door to have the gravel kit. BP Exploration's corporate jet:
GEH737
Looks really, really nice - very much looking forward to it. Jennings - what was your input to this project? Can you give any details on upcoming decals for it? Hitch
Jennings
As I stated above, the CAD design work was done using my original drawings (note: I did not design the kit, they used my 737 drawings as a basis for their own design work). Nothing firm on decals. I haven't actually seen the kit with my own eyes yet...

Of course we now need Air Madagascar decals....(hint, hint). John Hairell (tpn18@yahoo.com)
Jennings
John - Be aware that 5R-MFA is a non-advanced 737-200. The engine pylons are significantly smaller than on the Advanced airplanes, and there were blow-in doors around the intake. Neither of those features in the BPK kit, so you've got some work to do to do her accurately. J
majortomski
NOOO not vynal tires! Please just make them out of styrene!!!
SkyKing918
T-43s were non-advanced 737-200s as well. So some converting ("retroverting"?) will be necessary to make an accurate T-43, but I'm not sure how much.

I rode in both 5R-MFA and 5R-MFB several times, along with that airline's DC-3s, DC-4s, and Twin Otters. And 5R-MFK, their lone 707.
